I got a doctor degree in 1983 under the guidance of Prof. F. E. Fujita at Osaka University.

I worked at the Hahn-Meitner Institute Berlin, and University Vienna in the group of Prof. Gero Vogl between 1983 and 1991. I had a joint research for several years with Prof. Alfred Seeger, Max-Planck-Institute Stuttgart.
